Movement and music

I plan to connect motion-sensing work with Andrew Gordon’s research group. The research task is not yet fixed, so I’m treating this as a direction rather than a result.

MEDIA ARCHIVE

01
THE QUESTION

This direction explores how motion sensing can represent meaningful differences between performers. The goal is to learn from movement research before deciding which features and models belong in a musical system, especially when users move in distinct or disability-specific ways.

02
APPROACH & NEXT STEP

Possible work includes comparing feature representations, calibration strategies, and person-specific movement baselines. These remain research directions until a concrete lab task and dataset are established.
