I recently joined Mark Santolucito’s group and am beginning with the MaxPy and MaxPyLang codebases. My exact contribution is still being defined.

THE QUESTION

This work begins with understanding and contributing to MaxPy and MaxPyLang, tools that connect Python-based metaprogramming with Max/MSP. The specific research contribution is still being defined and will be updated as the work becomes concrete.

APPROACH & NEXT STEP

The near-term work is codebase onboarding: tracing how Python generates or modifies Max patches, documenting the workflow, and identifying a bounded contribution that can be tested in a musical context.
